Puppy

The memories of experiences with past puppies fade away quickly as our beloved pooches mature into adults. The bundle of joy we bring home very soon stresses us out. We have all been there…

The puppy course starts before you bring the puppy home!!! The course gears towards the Dos and Don’ts for both new and experienced owners in the transition from the puppies’ home to your home. The rules and boundaries are established so that everyone in the household knows exactly what to do before the puppy first set foot into the house. A lot of behavioural issues can be avoided by making it right from the very beginning, with things like putting the collar or lead on.

The objective of the course is make the developmental stages of a dog known to its owners and with the optimum method of learning theory to help the puppy integrate into our household over time. Our experienced dog trainers adhere to a strict CPD program to bring the best positive methods to help the puppies and dogs.

We endeavour to help you and your puppy throughout with the best possible start and continue to work with you as your puppy grows. We also offer puppy home visits where we can start the training process in the comfort of your own home.

Puppies need to be 18 weeks or under at the start of the course, the earlier the better! Classes are shaped to be fun for your puppy and your whole family.

Adolescent

Just when we graduate from the puppy class, our puppies turn into adolescence after 6 months! This can be a challenging time for both dog and owner for a significant amount of time. The PERFECT puppy stops listening Some of the behaviour we have established can be falling apart!

Our Adolescent class is a continuation of the Puppy class. The objective of the course is to highlight the developmental and environmental challenges during this time of their lives and how best to train them at this stage.

Our hands-free approach aims at encouraging the puppies to acquire good impulse control. Most of the exercises are conducted with the leads off. This is to make sure the training also works with real distractions. Puppies in this case!

The Adolescent Programme is designed specially to support you and your puppy through to adulthood. Some of the content we cover

  • Impulse control
  • Stay
  • Target exercises
  • Control in distractive environments
  • Calming exercises
